As part of SPE’s Inspire Programme at Offshore Europe 2017, SPE’s Young Professional Section has organised an Emerging Engineers Forum, at which a number of industry leaders will be discussing their views on what’s required to drive a challenging market.

Running throughout Offshore Europe, SPE’s Inspire Programme is a series of activities, workshops and lectures specifically focused on supporting and informing young people who are interested in joining the industry, or just beginning their careers.

This event will give attendees the opportunity to interact in roundtable discussions with the individuals and companies that are driving pioneering new technology in the sector.

Table hosts for the event include Alan Marsden, Petroleum Engineering Advisor of BP, Scott Douglas, Business Development Manager of Cape, Stuart Ferguson, CEO of FrontRow Energy Technology Group, Dan Purkis, Founder and Technology Director of Well-SENSE Technology, David Millar, Technology Accelerator Director of OGTC and Richard Knox, Managing Director of EC-OG.

Adam Zalewski, Event Lead for the Emerging Engineers Forum, said: “SPE is passionate about inspiring and supporting youngsters who are keen to join the sector and we believe that events such as the Emerging Engineers Forum is key to this ethos.

“We’ve engaged some of the most respected and forward-thinking individuals in the industry – each with varying backgrounds and years of experience - to give young engineers a true insight into working and progressing within the energy sector. I have no doubt that the forum will be highly informative and that the outcomes and lessons learned will remain in the minds of attendees throughout their careers.”

The event will take place on 6th September from 9.00 am to 12.00 pm in Room 10 at Offshore Europe.
